Vivid, Crispier Images than 1080p
At 4MP, the turret dome network camera watches your property at up to 2K Quad-HD (QHD) resolution. QHD has a maximum native resolution of 2560 x 1440, which is almost the double 1080p Full HD. So, you can zoom the image of distant objects without drastically diminishing the details.
Furthermore, the CCTV camera records in 2K QHD at a decent frame rate of 20fps. To get smoother videos than that, adjust the video settings to 1080p Full HD and select 30fps.

The Hikvision camera is a perfect choice if in the market for a CCTV in full color both day and night. It has built-in (spotlight) white LEDs that illuminate your area with visible light. Thus, allowing the image sensor to record objects in their natural colors.
In the Hikvision iVMS-4200 client or Hik-Connect app, you can set the white light of the camera to power on automatically when darkness comes. How dark it should be for the white light to activate or its brightness depends on the settings you choose.
Alternatively, you can set the white light of the CCTV camera to power on by motion detection or scheduled time.

The Hikvision POE network CCTV camera has ONVIF (open network interface) compliance. ONVIF means this camera is compatible with ONVIF-compliant recorders from Dahua, Uniview, ZOSI, ANNKE, and other makers.
Moreover, the IP (internet protocol) security camera can work as a standalone CCTV (without a recorder). The only thing you need for this is a router with active internet and a POE network switch/ injector.

Reduce Storage, Bandwidth Consumption
The Hikvision IP POE network camera supports video compression at H.264 and H.265 codecs. H.264 is the standard video compression technology, with low energy consumption but less coding efficiency.
Meanwhile, H.65 or HEVC (high-efficiency video coding) has the best video encoding efficiency. When enabled, the mode cuts down the storage and bandwidth consumption of the camera by more than half.
Speaking of storage, the security camera can only save recordings if the connected recorder has a local hard drive. If using the CCTV as a standalone (without the recorder), add a MicroSD card in the available slot to record.
