Centurion surge protector
Centurion surge protector is a plug-in device designed to shield gate motors and other sensitive electronics from power surges, lightning strikes, and voltage fluctuations by diverting excess energy to the ground. It’s a compact, easy-to-install safeguard featuring internal components like metal oxide varistors (MOVs) that absorb and divert damaging current, ensuring the continued operation and longevity of the protected equipment.

-
n
- Power Surge Protection: Safeguards against destructive power surges from lightning and utility switching.
- Compact Design: A small, user-friendly device that plugs directly into a standard electrical outlet, requiring minimal installation.
- Seamless Integration: Specifically designed for Centurion gate motors, offering a critical first line of defense for these automated systems.
- Internal Failsafe: Includes an internal temperature fuse that disconnects the power supply in case of an overload or fault, preventing the unit from catching fire.
- Energy Diversion: Works by diverting surge energy to earth via a grounding wire, preventing it from reaching the sensitive electronics of the gate motor.
- Convenience: Offers a plug-and-play solution that simplifies installation and provides immediate protection.
- Extended Lifespan: Helps reduce costly repairs and extends the operational life of gate motors by preventing damage from power fluctuations.

How it Works
n
-
n
- Detection: When a voltage spike or surge occurs, the internal components of the surge protector (such as MOVs) detect the excess energy.
- Absorption: These components absorb the surge’s excess voltage, preventing it from reaching the connected equipment.
- Diversion: The absorbed energy is then safely diverted to the grounding wire, which directs it into the earth, away from the protected device.
- Fail-Safe: If an overload or fault occurs, a built-in temperature fuse disconnects the power, ensuring safety.
